 SANDYCREEK CONSERVANCY FISHING OPPORTUNITES

For approximately 1/2 mile, Big Sandy Creek flows through club property.  This is an excellent trout fishing stream with multiple stockings during April and May of each year. Fishing for small mouth bass picks up during the summer and fall months.  While fishing, it is not uncommon to see Eagles and Ospreys flying up and down Big Sandy, as they too are fishing.  Club members enjoy easy access to the stream with a short walk, so come and enjoy some great fishing opportunities.  The Club encourages catch and realease for consistent enjoyable fishing into the summer months.

Haggerty Run is a small shaded stream that flows through club property.  This stream has native brook trout along with minnows and other small fish. Try hiking the stream in summer and fall months to observe trout and other fish in the many small pools that form when the water level is shallow.

SANDYCREEK CONSERVANCY RIFLE / PISTOL RANGE

The range at Sandycreek Conservancy includes 10 bench rest shooting stations. The range has a newly constructed roof for shelter and shade while shooting.  It also includes recently installed safety measures with beacon type lighting for hot/cold range alert when multiple shooters share the range. Wooded areas on each side of the range have been removed for additional safety while shooting.

Range targets are positioned at 25, 50, 75, 100, 200, and 250 yard targets. Join our club and enjoy a first class shooting experience. Barrels are adjacent to the shooting benches for disposal of targets when shooting is finished.
